Spent the day with orientation and mobility specialists
here in San Diego. We lucked out and got fantastic weather for our GPS treasure hunt! The downtown area is a great place to learn GPS with the numbered and
lettered streets and square blocks. There is a huge outdoor mall next to our
hotel, it's impossible to navigate the shortcuts through it from street to
street without user POIs and annotations.
If you're ever in the downtown area, look up the user POI
"rabbit". It should be around 5th and E and has a media file. It's an
Alice and Wonderland themed bar that requires going down steps on the street
corner and finding hidden entrance. The media file and POI description will
help you find it, it's very tactile, grin. Life is an adventure!
