immediate benefit of user defined points of interest

Here is a perfect example of the value of user defined points. I am at the CCB conference in San Diego California. Like many large hotels, the actual lobby doors are set back quite a ways from the street in a circular drive.
The commercial point is about 250 feet from the actual doorway.

I have set a point right at the lobby doors. I have also found the closest walkable restaurants and set a point at the doorway of a very good taco place, which is way off the main street in a large outdoor mall. I'll mark more locations tomorrow in that mall.

I have already synched these new user points with the collective user POI database. So, anyone else at this conference or coming to it can hit the ground running so to speak with precise points of interest. Please take a few minutes and add your user points to the collective database. The easiest way to do so is through Sendero Maps for the PC. Once you install this program that is free with most Sendero products, the sharing of points and getting updates is literally a 30 second process.

Show me your favorite restaurants and I'll show you mine.

Mike
